Belgian Blue
Fine Art Cow Print
The dominant theme here is the sturdy animal’s gentle movement.
It’s a movement that those who love and appreciate these animals will be familiar with.
There is a strength and experience to this creature.
She holds her head in a delicate manner.
The limited but effective colour-palette consists of maroons, teals, mustard and creamy tones.
‘Belgian Blue’ commands the wall-space…and rightly so!

Belgian Blue
I’m normally drawn to the younger, more fragile bovine creatures but I could see a beauty in this almost ‘regal’ Belgian Blue.
The colour of her coat really is quite special.
The light catches it and gives off an almost silvery shimmer.
Tonal range and colour mixing has been given plenty of consideration as I represent her muscular form and it’s a form that I deliberately allowed to burst out over the edges of the canvas to reinforce this animal’s sense of scale.
