Young Whitehead

Fine Art Calf Print

That pose!

That little sideways glance. That gentle movement.

That ‘twist’ of the body and lowering of the head. A hint of apprehension?….or even anticipation?

This ‘Young Whitehead’ is new to the world and is full of wonder and fragility.

Even though Una’s paint application is energetic and expressive, there remains an overall delicate and sensitive feel to this insightfully captured moment.

The story behind...

Young Whitehead

I’m pleased that I gave such consideration to highlighting detail around this young calf’s eyes.

The spectrum of greens and teals create (I trust), impact and a sense of depth.

I used composition to allow the viewer’s  focus to move fleetingly over the textured body and then to settle and rest on those all-important eyes.
