Oil Rig In Belfast Harbour
Fine Art Harland & Wolff Print
An oil rig visits the harbour for repairs.
The result is a feast for the eyes!
An explosion of contrasting cadmium reds, oranges and yellows.
Belfast’s iconic cranes and this ‘Blackford Dolphin’ make a unique and vibrant team.
A ‘scrape’ of saffron represents the cranes while energetic brushstrokes capture the tubular and linear qualities of the oil rig.

Oil Rig In Belfast Harbour
I enjoy seeing ‘beauty’ in industrial shapes.
The docks are an area of the city that wouldn’t conventionally be seen as ‘aesthetically pleasing’… but I beg to differ!
The shipyard’s buzzing sense of activity and seemingly endless detail mean that I’m never stuck for inspiration.
