Sunday Wolfhound
Fine Art Dog Print
This is a squared-shaped study of the iconic Irish Wolfhound.
A feeling of connection is created through the dog’s eye-contact with the viewer.
Eyes that are represented by seemingly infinite shades and tones of mauve, mustard, plum and teal.
Hints of lemon-white and seafoam green are also evident. There is a certain delicate and serene ‘vibe’ to this painting.
We can sense the animal’s trusting personality and a sense that he is a loyal friend.

Sunday Wolfhound
This painting was completed during four sessions in the studio. Interestingly, they all happened to be Sunday sessions!
This was not deliberate – but interestingly I feel that this fact may have been influential on the overall ambiance of the piece.
Like most people, Sundays are my day to ‘chill-out’! I don’t normally spend time in my studio. But when I do, it is of a very relaxed nature.
Could this have played into the fact that this Wolfhound has a particularly calming ‘spirit’.
Areas of paint are blurred, refined and delicate.
It is my hope that an insight into this wonderful creature’s temperament has been revealed..one of sensitivity, loyalty and elegance.
