Fine Art Dog Original Oil Painting
This study is not intended to be of any dog breed in particular.
The dog’s stance and the manner in which he looks up at his owner is the prevailing theme.
Flashes of crimson, navy and neutrals are on show while finger-painting and loose brushwork creates a sense of the dog’s textured coat.
Thick detailed oil paint is applied in areas such as around the eyes, encouraging the viewer’s focus towards them.
Delivery charges will added at checkout, and are calculated according to shipping address. Large prints (A0, A1, A2) are shipped rolled in strong-walled postal tubes. Small prints (A3, A4) are shipped strong cardboard flat envelopes. Originals are carefully boxed & packaged. A tracking number is emailed to the customer at time of posting. It is highly recommended that they are brought to a local framer for a professional and well protected finish. We can provide advice on framing options on request.

My interest here is trying to capture that deep sense of trust and special relationship between dog and owner.
As a dog owner myself, I’m a great believer in the strength of the connection and companionship that dogs provide.
Dogs don’t judge us – in fact they can be a source of comfort that many of us crave.
